Use it when

- asking AI for estimates
- using AI to review work
- summarising research
- drafting a recommendation
- using an agent to make repeated decisions
Five lenses
Questions worth asking before you commit.
Did the model's first answer become the centre of my later reasoning?
Open →Am I reacting to fluent humanlike language instead of tested capability?
Open →Can I still tell which claims came from me, the source material and the model?
Open →Did I ask AI to test my view or mainly to make it sound stronger?
Open →10-minute workflow
Turn awareness into an action.
Use with AI
Ask the model to challenge the frame, not decorate it.
Prompt: “Review this decision without choosing for me. Restate my criteria, show the strongest case against my preferred option, identify missing evidence, flag possible anchors or sunk costs, and finish with the smallest next test that would reduce uncertainty.”
The goal is not forced disagreement. It is to make assumptions, alternatives and evidence visible before the recommendation feels inevitable.
